Dear "SacramentoGoodLife"
Affordability is a significant consideration for retirees. Seniors may look for locations with a reasonable cost of living and options that fit within their budget. There are varying costs from community to community. Let's look at what each offers.
Many retirees prefer locations with a moderate climate that allows for outdoor activities year-round. However, climate preferences can vary, and some may specifically seek warmer or cooler climates. Our area features mild Winters, Springtime and Falls. Summer months are varying from warm to hot in July and August. Did you know that Tahoe is the spot for many residents during this part of the year. It's mild in the Summer. With three very mild seasons, we have learned to be outside early, and plan inside activities when it's hot. It is not humid here.
Access to cultural events, the newest performing arts venues, museums, community theaters, casinos, touring companies and recreational facilities can enhance the overall quality of life for our retirees.
Senior Living should include options locally should you need more assistance. This area has a variety of housing options, including independent living communities, assisted living, or continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) that offer different levels of care as needs change.
Being close to family and friends is often a priority for seniors, as it provides a support system and enhances their social connections. With a 2 hour drive to the Bay Area, a highly rated local airport, and train services, getting anywhere is easy.
Scenic surroundings, parks, planned trails, state parks, green spaces can contribute to a peaceful and aesthetically pleasing retirement environment. We have everything in this county, and we are at the foothills of the Sierra and a quick drive to Lake Tahoe.
Some seniors appreciate living in areas that embrace cultural diversity, providing opportunities for social interactions and exposure to different lifestyles. The Sacramento region is a constant surprise as more services and people continue to make this area attractive to new residents. The city of Sacramento is the most diverse part of the region, offering food and services that reflect our variety of ethnicities, and peoples from all over the world.
Access to essential services such as grocery stores, pharmacies, modern shopping with lots of parking, newer theaters, salons, groomers, and other daily necessities are within a very short distance. It is important for convenience and ease of living, and we have it all in a quick 10-15 minute drive. Everything is a short distance from all of our communities. Whatever you need, it is here.
Each community has included this as part of the fun of senior life for many people. Now you have a little more time and lots of other people will too. Let's look at the lifestyle of the senior pet owner too.
